For Parents

Many parents are concerned because their daughter has experienced gallbladder side effects after using Yaz birth control. This oral contraceptive pill has been marketed heavily emphasizing its benefits, especially in the treatment of moderate acne and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). Unfortunately, this relatively new birth control pill has been associated with a number of women developing gallbladder problems and now many young women, some who started taking Yaz in their early teenage years, have had their gallbladder removed after having gallstones or when their gallbladder was low functioning. Some experts are linking the gallbladder side effects with the diuretic effect of the hormones in Yaz which can cause dehydration affecting the gallbladder.

We are currently working with parents and families across the United States whose daughters have suffered from gallbladder disease and related gallbladder side effects caused by Yaz birth control. We understand the medical and legal issues involved with having a previously healthy gallbladder removed while using Yaz birth control. There are many problems that women are forced to live with following gallbladder removal surgery including medical bills, permanent scarring and digestive problems. Please contact us if you and your daughter have any questions regarding your legal options and how we may be able to help. We are ready to take the time to explain how you can be part of making a claim and the different steps in the process.
